Lorne Rubenstein

ON, CANADA
Renowned Golf Journalist

Lorne Rubenstein has written a golf column for The Globe and Mail since 1980. He has played golf since the early 1960s, he was the Royal Canadian Golf Association's first curator of its museum and library at the Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville, Ontario and the first editor of Score Golf, Canada's Golf Magazine, where he continues to write a column and features. He has won four first-place awards from the Golf Writers Association of America, one National Magazine Award in Canada, and, most recently, he won the award for the best feature in 2009 from the Golf Journalists Association of Canada. As one of Canada's leading golf journalists, Lorne was introduced into the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame in 2007.

In addition to writing, Lorne's television work has included co-host of Canadian Golf Today and Acura World of Golf. He also appears frequently on The Golf Channel.

Lorne has written eleven books. His latest book, Moe Norman: Encounters with Moe Norman, Golf's Mysterious Genius, was published in April 2012 by ECW Press. Lorne takes a closer look at one of the World's most interesting golfers of all time and perhaps the purest striker of the ball that game has ever seen.

Through his writing and extensive knowledge of golf, Lorne has developed a presentation that takes his audience on a highly visual examination of the game while telling stories about players, courses, teachers, and the equipment.

Client Testimonials:

"Lorne's in-depth knowledge of the game and the individuals involved allowed them to feel comfortable enough to share some of their personal thoughts and some of their most memorable moments. Our guests really enjoyed the back and forth between Lorne and the athletes and the insight it provided."

Vice-Chairman and CEO, Agnico-Eagle Mines Ltd.

"I am happy to say that Lorne delivered on his mandate.  Lorne's easy and fluid speaking style kept the audience's attention, including some with little or no knowledge of golf.  Many were impressed, as I was, with how recounting an event on the "Tour" Lorne was able to make a connection between that event, or the handling of that event, to the requirements of being successful in the business world."
