
Eugenia Moten
Mrs. Eugenia R. Moten from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania is a member of the Shiloh Church of God in Christ. She accepted Christ into her life at the age of 14 but not until 1976 made a full commitment to serve Him. In 977, she was called to the ministry to be a Missionary. She was later ordained as an Evangelist through the Church of God in Christ (COGIC), Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Jurisdiction.
Mrs. Moten is active in her church in the following organizations: President of the Shiloh Missionary Board/Women in the Ministry, serves on the Mothers Board as a Church Mother, Youth Department Worker, Sunshine Band/Children's Choir Director, one of the Mothers for Faith, Hope and Charity Prayer Group, serves as Advisor to the Single Mother's Ministry and serves on the Advisory Board for the Academy of Arts Ministry. She is the Co-Director with her husband for Vacation Bible School. She serves faithfully in the Sunday School Department for the Church of God in Christ in the following areas: in her church she is a Sunday School Teacher for grades 7-9. Outside her church in the Harrisburg District she is a Field Worker/Representative. On the State level she is the Dean of Education for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Jurisdiction and she is a National Worker for the Church of God in Christ Sunday School Department.
Mrs. Moten is a very viable force in the community ministering especially to youth wherever an opportunity presents itself. For twenty-five years she served as a Girl Scout Leader for Hemlock Girl Scout Council for the Cadetts/Senior age level. She enjoys teaching youth and college student etiquette and manners. Her motivational workshop on "How to be a Lady from Head to Toe" and "You are not a Man by the way you Stand" is taught in schools, colleges and youth functions. She is a volunteer/mentor in the Harrisburg School District, ministers at the Schaffner Youth Detention Center and volunteer weekly with the HYPED (Helping Young People Every Day) Program in the evening. She volunteers and works for the New Beginning Youth and Adult Services, Inc., and is a member of the Dauphin County Systems of Care Faith-Based Subcommittee. Mrs. Moten is the founder for "Teens Let It Out" a writing ministry for children and youth who want to write to someone for spiritual advice, suggestions and solutions to problems. Mrs. Moten enjoys motivating, inspiring and encouraging people to be the best that they can be.
She is married to her best friend, Alfred Moten of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania since April of 1973. They are the proud parents of four children and grandparents of four. They all love to praise and worship the Lord.
Mrs. Moten in 2005 retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania after 30 plus years of working.
Mrs. Moten matriculated through Indiana University of Pennsylvania and graduated with a degree in Business Administration from DuBois College in DuBois, PA. She has earned her accreditation and her Certificate of Completion and Achievement from The Institute of Children's Literature, West Redding, Connecticut (Writing for Children and Teenagers, and she completed the Graduate Course on Creating and Selling Short Stories and Articles). She also received her Pastoral Care Certificate from Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
Mrs. Moten enjoys writing and reading stories, answering letters to her writing ministry, conducting inspirational and motivational workshops/seminars. She also enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and family.
