Sharon Knecht has spent the last 15 years of her career achieving excellence in sales. While her positions and responsibilities have changed, her elite track record of success has been consistent. Her career began as a Financial Advisor at Smith Barney. Within a year she transitioned to her business to UBS/PaineWebber. Within a few months of joining the firm she initiated and helped secure a $40 million private placement. Her tremendous interpersonal skills, coupled with her keen sense for business negotiations earned her a promotion to Vice President of Investments. Sharon flourished at PaineWebber and while her passion for the markets and economies grew, she soon realized her true passion for sales was in selling a direct product to prospects and customers.
In 2002, Sharon broke into the capital medical equipment market, selling surgical lasers for cosmetic procedures. Every year, despite a highly competitive field and a complicated selling process, she was named to the President's Club for her sales performance. Today she speaks and writes on sales excellence.
After cornering the cosmetic laser market, Sharon decided to utilize her experience and vision to begin teaching and speaking on issues ranging from overcoming economic challenges to gearing attitudes towards success. She recently wrote her first book, "Spoil the Great Recession" discussing the number one issue sales professionals face today; the US economy and how to sell in it. Stemming from the reception of her book, Sharon has recently began her new career teaching sales courses and giving keynote speeches on prevalent issues in today's economy and how they relate to sales.
