Dr. Schultz is an academically trained futurist with over thirty years of global foresight practice. She has designed futures research projects for NGOs, government agencies, and businesses. Recent clients include Competition Bureau Canada; the International Labour Organization; Nesta UK; UK's Financial Conduct Authority; Singapore's Risk Assessment and Horizon Scanning Centre; the Industrial Research Institute; and Pepsico. Wendy is a member of the Association of Professional Futurists; a Professional Member of the World Future Society; and a Fellow of the World Futures Studies Federation. Her award-winning articles on futures research have been published in Foresight, Futures, the Journal of Futures Studies, World Futures Review, and APF's Compass.

Her conference keynotes, workshops, and publications include topics as varied as future competitiveness for urban regions; the future of transport; the future of learning and higher education; and the role of women in designing our emerging technological futures, among others.  Her writing covers not only foresight methods for public policy, but also everything from the future of space habitation to the future of philanthropy.  She is known for her relaxed, humorous, and highly interactive style, even engaging participants in large plenary sessions with 'at your seat' discussion exercises.

Dr. Schultz earned her Ph.D. in Alternative Futures (Political Science) at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa.  She teaches futures graduate seminars at the University of Houston, and has offered guest lectures in "Foresight, Strategy, and Innovation" at the School of Economics and Business Management in Lisbon, and has also taught a graduate seminar in foresight and futures studies at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.  She is a Fellow of the World Futures Studies Federation; a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures, and Commerce; and a member of the Association of Professional Futurists.
