IA, USSteven will capture the hearts and minds of your audience by telling his story about how he has overcome and dealt with various obstacles in his life.
In second grade Steven was diagnosed with epilepsy. He was held back in first grade, moved from a public school to a private school and then back to public school.
Steven and his parents were told in second grade that he would never graduate high school. He was placed in a janitor's closet in his elementary school to learn one on one with a teacher's aide.
Steven went from having very little chance of becoming someone in life to turning his hopelessness into hope.
Hear how Steven started out and how he did graduate high school when he was supposed to. Hear the sad and joyful stories of how this young man went through trials and tribulations. Hear how after high school he became a political campaign manager and then went on to work for the Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship for 15 years with nothing more than a high school diploma. He worked as a lab assistant. Hear how he became a district training manager for 6 1/2 years, then went on to run for the Iowa House of Representatives twice. Hear how his friends told him he would never be able to be a good writer. Steven went on to write two books Lovers the Flood and Disabled Thoughts.
As you sit on the edge of your chair become amazed at how Steven lets his guard down and opens up to the audience. Be prepared for an emotional journey. Be prepared to hear how Steven explains about how he thinks outside the box. Your organization will learn and take back key tools and information necessary to helping those you have come to help.
