Sharol Tyra, PCC, CPCC, BSN has over 25 years of experience in healthcare and business including clinical/patient/college teaching, administration, clinical practice, certified coaching, writing, and speaking. Sharol Tyra, PCC, CPCC, BSN, RN is the Founder & President of Life Illumination Presentations & Coaching. Life Illumination is a way of being present in the moment. She taps her education, both as a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the Bachelors program in nursing from Augsburg and as a graduate of the Co-Active Leadership Program from the Coaches Training Institute, to complement her 20 year award-winning nursing career and success as an entrepreneur. Tyra is the author of four articles, including, Coaching Nurses: A Real Example of a Real Difference, Creative Nursing Journal, Vol. 14, Number 3, August 2008.
Sharol completed additional coursework through the National Speakers Association, NSA, and is a member of NSA, and on the Board of Directors with NSA-MN. She completed certifications through the International Coach Federation and is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC). She was appointed to a leadership role as a Leadership Program Assistant in the Coaches Training Institute after her graduation from its program, and is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC). She is also a member of the Minnesota Coaches Association, Minnesota Organization of Leaders in Nursing, MOLN - Star Award recipient 2008, Sigma Theta Tau, and I-94 West Chamber of Commerce - Networking Group Chair.
Tyra began volunteering at 14, as a Candy Striper, being of service with heart to ignite aliveness within patients and staff. She also spent a decade facilitating and supervising support groups, collaboratively facilitating change in organizations and setting public policy for a better world. Tyra has served on numerous health and human service advisory and executive boards at local and state levels. Her big vision now is to help people expand their horizons, and design their fulfilling life. Audiences from all walks of life testify that Tyra's lasting impact energizes them to be responsible for happiness long after her presentation. Tyra is a featured expert in several professional publications pertaining to work/life balance, management coaching, and nursing job satisfaction.
