As a faculty member of the Women's Campaign School at Yale University, she has addressed and coached hundreds of candidates running for office.

Ruth Sherman is the author of the best-selling book Get Them To See It Your Way, Right Away: How to Persuade Anyone of Anything (McGraw-Hill). Ruth began her professional life as a performer in New York, focusing on commercial singing and announcing. As one of a handful of successful jingle-singers, her voice was heard around the world on commercials for such clients as Coca-Cola, Ford, Michelob and Clairol. After receiving a master's degree in speech and interpersonal communication from New York University, where she also taught for several years in NYU's School of Education, she opened her consulting and speaking business.
