Nancy Vogl

MI, US
NSA Bureau Partner, Devoted Supporter of Speakers, Believer in the Power of the Spoken Word

"Our bureau was founded out of love and respect for the spoken word, and the impact a single message can have on a life...for a day, for a lifetime, even for generations."

WHO WE ARE

It is our genuine appreciation for professional speakers, and the difference they can make in people's lives, that feeds our souls and drives our business.

Beginning as a seminar company in 1990, our bureau evolved when a handful of local businesses called upon us to provide speakers for their events. Because we had spent time getting to know many speakers, we had unwittingly laid the foundation for a successful bureau.

We book the big names in politics, as well as entertainers, sports figures, authors, experts, scientists, and more.

Our expertise however, and true passion, is "motivational" speakers in all of their many guises: Business and sales experts, futurists, health and wellness professionals, diversity experts, etc., as well as those messengers of hope and inspiration that first guided us into the bureau business.

WHAT WE DO

While planning every facet of your event is important, we understand that selecting speakers ranks right at the top.

That's where we come in. Hiring a speaker may be just one aspect of your many responsibilities, but it is our specialty.

With over 20 years of getting to know hundreds and hundreds of speakers, attending presentations, reviewing countless video and promotional kits, we're experts at seeing through the hype and get- ting to the heart of the matter.

Most importantly, we listen to your wants and needs, and have a keen sense of aspects you might not have considered. It is our job to comprehend your objectives, capture the pulse of your organization and the ambience of the event.

We bring our clients fresh ideas, in tune with the most current trends, and attuned to their budget. There is no fee for our service.

If you've already previewed a lifetime of speaker materials, and if when all is said and done you'd rather hear accolades than "Aaaack!", then we hope you'll give us the privilege of serving you.

WHY WE'RE DIFFERENT

There are dozens of agencies around the world that book speakers. With so many to choose from, why use us?

Simply put, we don't just book speakers. We connect people with people, and help clients and presenters build meaningful relationships, one opportunity at a time. We're a boutique bureau intentionally.

Further, some bureaus are hesitant to allow contact between the speaker and client. Not us. In fact, we always encourage that connection! As your "team member" collaborating with you, we know that clear communication is vital. Our clients and speakers value the level of trust we extend and the professional way we do business.

Of course, we know the market, offering brilliant ideas. We operate more as a consulting firm, rather than an agency. We're not order takers.

We're also responsive...and we're fun to work with! Because we love what we do.

But, most important, we see ourselves as "connectors" and know that our work is purposeful.

Just as it should be.

FOR SPEAKERS:  Working with Us

At Nancy Vogl Speakers Bureau we're quite selective in the speakers we choose to align ourselves with. Let's just say we're very picky...just like a literary house or a casting agent in Hollywood would be.

Some bureaus tout working with thousands of speakers, when in essence no bureau could possibly work with that many. Certainly, like any reputable bureau, we also have access to countless speakers and can provide almost any presenter a client may be interested in. But as we're specifically positioned as a boutique agency, operating more as a consulting firm rather than as "order takers," we won't just add names to our site without the benefit of a relationship first.

We're intent on building meaningful relationships with our speakers, as much as we are with our clients, so we really take the time to get to know each speaker we collaborate with - certainly as a professional, but also as a human being. It's not uncommon for us to know a speaker's family, or what their outside interests are, or to mutually share stories from our personal lives. We think of our speakers as colleagues, rather than a commodity...in essence, members of our bureau family.

Speakers new to us: At this time, we are only considering speakers who come to us by referral from a client or another speaker we trust, or because of the "buzz" we may have heard about the speaker. Also, when a certain need arises where the speakers on our roster might not fit the bill, we will seek out speakers new to us.

A crucial element to working with Nancy Vogl Speakers Bureau is having excellent marketing materials - website, press kit, video - that are congruent with how the speaker is positioned, and in line with their fee.
