A big thank you to Nanci Appleman-Vassil who led an engaging and practical workshop at the Executives Association of Rhode Island on November 19th. Her expertise in leadership development and team dynamics gave us actionable insights that resonated. Nanci’s use of tools like Everything DiSC and her OSDFA – “One Size Doesn’t Fit All” , both strategies for fostering collaboration were incredibly valuable. Her interactive and approachable style made the 30-minute training impactful and directly relevant to the leadership challenges that all our group members face. We are all entrepreneurs with growing businesses and sometimes you get caught up doing the same thing, expecting new results. In fact, all the changes begin with the culture.

I’d like to highly recommend Nanci Appleman-Vassil and the APLS Group if you are seeking a speaker/coach/trainer for an upcoming event. We held our first ever company “fly-in” meeting this month, bringing our team face-to-face for the first time since 2020. I was tasked with identifying a “dynamic, knowledgeable speaker who could teach through humor and keep everyone engaged…for 8 hours!” (No pressure there!) I went to the internet and was floored by the limited options that were both affordable and willing to cover a full day of training. Thankfully, I was referred to Nanci by a business acquaintance. What a blessing! Nanci was quick to arrange a call with a few of our managers to learn more about our team dynamics and what was important to accomplish during the conference. Nanci’s vast experiences in business and knowledge of DISC and personality profiling was invaluable. She presented activities and kept us all out of our seats much of the day. Her ability to include humor, past experiences and reinforcing new concepts with questions and competitions and kept us all alert and engaged – even after lunch! If you are planning a meeting and want to invite a speaker who will focus on what you need – and pull even your introverts into the conversation – Nanci is the one to call!

Nanci brought an interactive and upbeat seminar that kept our event attendees engaged and entertained. Nanci’s questions and interactions during her seminar invited and encouraged vulnerability and called out bravery. This is a feat considering this was a virtual seminar! Where we typically see silence, Nanci brought out laughter and great conversation.

Nanci is like a great orchestra director - her experience and capacity to hold the class attention is awesome.  She is an excellent storyteller and funny woman with high human understanding and wisdom.

Nanci had great energy, was very knowledgeable, had genuine interest in the audience, and did a great job presenting the information in a manner that was easy to understand.
