John Drury
John Drury is the author of "Awaken Your Soul: A Journey of Discovery" (2006), and the founder of his company. This coaching, facilitation and retreat organization works with executives, groups, couples and companies to support greater self-awareness, more meaningful relationships and guidance through life's transitions.
In 1980, John left Cooper & Lybrand, a "Big 6" accounting firm, and co-founded Harris, Drury Advertising, a highly successful advertising agency in South Florida. Over 17 years, John built the agency into a $100 million business with a staff of 110. In 1997, he joined AutoNation, America's largest retail Automotive Company, to head up the marketing efforts for this Fortune 100 Company. He was a part of the team that helped build AutoNation into a $22 billion company. For 9 years John led a team that managed a $250 million marketing budget for over 300 automotive retail stores through out the United States.
In 1996 John joined a start-up YPO forum and is still a member today. John's 30-year background in the study of human behavior, and as an entrepreneur and executive, provides him intimate knowledge of the factors and issues that face today's most senior executives, the teams they lead and the lives they live.
During the past 10 years, John has done extensive personal work as well as facilitation with groups such as YPO forums, Spousal forums, EO forums, Corporate Executive Teams, Wilderness Expeditions, Shadow Work, etc. He is a trained and Certified Shadow Work® Coach. John enhanced these experiences with specialized training to provide a breadth of skills for any given situation.
John resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and has been married to wife Debbie for 34 years. He has two beautiful daughters: Lauren and Jennie.
