Brian Palmer, CMM, is President of the National Speakers Bureau, a position he has held since 1996. He began working for National Speakers Bureau part time in 1972 when his father founded the firm, and full time in 1980. In 2010 Brian received his CMM.

An active member of several meeting industry organizations, he has served on the boards of Meeting Professionals International and the International Association of Speakers Bureaus. For several years he chaired the National Speakers Association/International Association of Speakers Bureaus Joint Task Force, charged with developing the relationship between professional speakers and speakers bureaus. Brian currently serves as the Chairman of the MPI RISE Awards judging panel.

Brian has written numerous articles for industry publications and has delivered over a hundred presentations on matters related to the meetings industry. He is a contributing author to the 5th edition of Professional Meeting Management. As one of the speaking industry leaders, his opinion is regularly sought by industry, business and general press.

Brian is married to violinist, Paula Palmer. They have two children. 

In 2009 Brian completed building a replica of a 1965 Cobra Daytona Coupe race car, which he now enjoys racing.
