Mary Cantando is a internationally-recognized author and speaker who focuses exclusively on helping women grow their businesses. She’s founded, led and expanded businesses for over 20 years. As the author of four books on women entrepreneurs, she serves as a media expert for O (Oprah Magazine), the Wall Street Journal, Inc. Magazine, PINK, Entrepreneur, Fortune Small Business, and NPR TV and radio.

Mary has special expertise in sales and marketing; she has personally initiated, negotiated, and closed contracts of up to $50MM with Fortune clients including AT&T, HP, John Deere, IBM, Nokia, Nortel and Kodak. As a consultant, she works with women entrepreneurs to cultivate new revenue streams, develop sales channels and land new strategic accounts.
Mary is honored to serve as an Envoy of the US State Department in speaking to women around the world about starting and growing businesses. She was recognized as a “Master Facilitator” by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, a finalist for Office Depot’s National Businesswoman of the Year and a two-time finalist for Fast Company’s Fast 50 award.
Mary has written four books including The Woman’s Advantage (Kaplan Publishing, May, 2006) and Leading with Care (Jossey-Bass, October 2009).
As an advocate for women, Mary serves on the national board of the Women Presidents’ Organization, an organization of women who own and run multimillion dollar businesses. She is a Trustee of The Women's Alliance, an Ambassador of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, an Advisory Board memer of Enterprising Women magazine, and the Growth Advisor of Women Entrepreneurs, Inc, a national think tank for women entrepreneurs.
