Born in North London, UK, Bob immigrated to Canada with his wife in 1960 settling in Toronto. After several years, working in Western Canada as a branch manager for an office equipment company, Bob returned to Toronto to take up a senior marketing position with Philips Electronics. He later spent 3 years as the President of Hugin Cash Registers in Canada before establishing his own small business distributing Point of Sale systems throughout the GTA, which ran successfully for over 20 years. In 1972 Bob moved to Uxbridge with his wife and four children. Bob was elected to Council in Uxbridge Township in 2003 and then ran successfully for Mayor in 2006 A life long athlete and former semi-professional soccer player, he maintains a high level of fitness by running regularly and working out at the gym. While being something of a computer enthusiast, Bob’s real passion is gardening, jazz piano, reading and engaging in topical discussions.
