Crane Stookey

NS, CANADA
The Tall Ship officer who helps leaders practice Generous Leadership to achieve two essential goals: Better performance for your people, and greater mastery of your personal leadership practice.

Do you ever get stuck in a kind of "mental claustrophobia" when multiple challenges are crowding you in, and it impedes your performance and your leadership?

Crane gives you the attitude management and Less-Is-More Leadership skills to overcome this self-limiting state of mind, on the spot, under pressure, so you and your people can bring your personal best to work.

"I help executives and influencers change people's attitude, because attitude changes everything."

As described in his executive leadership book, Keep Your People in the Boat – Workforce Engagement Lessons from the Sea.

Crane has over 20 years experience of leadership at sea, and has also taught mindfulness meditation for 30 years. He is uniquely qualified to address both the outer leadership of command under pressure, and the inner leadership of attitude managemend and personal mental performance.

From the world of international Tall Ships, and from the Maritime's own Nova Scotia Sea School, Crane brings the lessons of "crew building" ashore for your organization.

Crane is the founder of the Nova Scotia Sea School adventure voyaging program, and was awarded the Queen's Jubilee Medal for his contribution to Canadian Society.

Crane has a Masters degree from Harvard University, and serves on the faculty at the ALIA Institute for Authentic Leadership in Action and as an instructor at St. Mary's University. He was nominated for Business Person of the Year by the Halifax Chamber of Commerce.
