A native New Yorker, Mindy has been living and working in the United Kingdom since 1991 and in 2018 she began splitting her time between NY/CT and London. She has worked with thousands of business owners in many countries, helping them improve their thought leadership and make big shifts in their lives.
An international speaker, trainer and consultant with 25+ years of marketing, training and coaching experience, and over 700 clients who have written and published excellent books and articles, Mindy speaks to thousands of executives, business leaders and entrepreneurs each year about how to become a thought leader and turning expertise into enhanced credibility and more business, but she also speaks about living your truth, acceptance and inclusion. Gibbins-Klein is a Fellow of the Professional Speakers Association in the UK and her TEDx talk "Sometimes You Need to Change Yourself to Be Yourself" has had nearly half a million views.
Gibbins-Klein earned her MBA in International Business from University of Bridgeport and has a B.A. in Linguistics (faculty scholar) from McGill University. She and her companies have won and been finalists in over a dozen industry awards. Starting her career as a sales trainer and presenter, she then formed her own marketing consultancy and moved to the UK. Career highlights include designing and managing a full pre-sales call center and CRM function for Nortel Networks and the successful consolidation and outsourcing of global call centers, saving the company over $1M per annum.
In 2001, she left the world of corporate marketing to focus on helping business leaders and entrepreneurs market themselves with good books, articles, blogs and speaking. Since then, she has authored and co-authored 8 books and many articles on thought leadership, and has a regular column in several business magazines and websites, as well as a Huffington Post blog. Her first book, A Dance in the Desert, led to her accreditation as an epilepsy volunteer with the largest epilepsy charity in the UK. Her book 24 Carat BOLD was endorsed by Seth Godin, and her latest book The Thoughtful Leader has become a global bestselling leadership book.
