An internationally known healthcare and business strategist, award winning professional speaker, author and consultant, Stephen Tweed works with health care and business organizations that want to grow, and with executives who want to get ready for the future.  Stephen is Chairman and CEO of Leading Home Care ... a Tweed Jeffries company.

Mr. Tweed is the author of Conquering the Crisis: Proven Solutions for Caregiver Recruiting and Retention and co-author of five books specifically written for the home care industry.  He is a frequent speaker at association conferences and corporate meetings and serves as the editor and publisher of Home Care CEO Report, the leading electronic newsletter for 10,000 CEOs and Executives in home health care, hospice, and private duty home care.

An award winning professional speaker, Stephen is a past president of the 3500 member National Speakers Association, and earned NSA's distinguished designation, CSP – Certified Speaking Professional – in 1993.  Stephen served as President of NSA in 2002-2003, and in 2012 he was awarded The Cavett, the highest award given for lifetime service by the National Speakers Association. Stephen also served as Chair of the Board of Trustees of the NSA Foundation from 2009 – 2013.

In 2015, Stephen was inducted into the Business Hall of Fame at his alma mater, Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. In 2017, Stephen was inducted into the Legends of the Speaking Profession by the Veteran Speakers Retreat.  In 2019, Stephen receive the first Industry Leadership Award from the Home Care Association of America. 

In addition to his roles of business strategist, speaker, and author, Stephen Tweed wears two more healthcare hats... board member and consumer.  He has served on the Boards of Directors of a major rehabilitation hospital and three home health agencies, and as the Interim President and CEO of a $25 million, 400 employee home care company offering home health, home medical equipment, home infusion therapy, and private duty home care.

Stephen is also the father of an adult son who is physically disabled, lives in a wheelchair and uses the service of in-home health care on a daily basis.  No other speaker in America brings this unique combination of professional speaking skills, health care business leadership, and personal experience.
