COVID disrupted our world and teams struggle with stress more than ever! When over 70% of US workers are not engaged at work the consequences can be disastrous. Leaders face a host of barriers but the real issue is that we are asking people to do more with less when it matters most. Engagement is no longer enough. True leadership is dependant on mindset, vision, and ownership.
Obsessed with performance under pressure, Dr. Dan Diamond works with leaders to equip them with trench-tested tools to thrive when times are tough.
With over 30 years of international disaster experience including a strategic role as the Director of the Medical Triage Unit at the New Orleans Convention Center following Hurricane Katrina, Dr. Dan knows how to get significant work done in the midst of challenging circumstances. He has been interviewed on CNN, Larry King Live and Anderson Cooper, and USA Today.
He is a member of the National Speakers Association and served as President of NSA Northwest from 2011-2012. As an experienced family physician and an award-winning educator, Dr. Diamond delivers trench-tested tools wrapped in unforgettable stories from the frontlines of disasters around the globe.
After earning his medical degree from the University of Washington, Dr. Diamond completed his residency in Family Medicine in Milwaukee, WI. The American Academy of Family Physicians awarded Dr. Diamond the degree of Fellow and he is Board Certified with the American Board of Family Physicians. Dr. Diamond is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine. In 2010, the American Red Cross gave him the "Real Hero" award and he also received the Washington State Governor's Award of Excellence for his work in Haiti. In 2014, Dr. Diamond received the Presidents Volunteer Service Award from President Obama and he also received the Quality of Care Lifetime Achievement Award, Healthcare Heroes.
What others are saying about Dr. Diamond:
"You wowed the group. We are still debriefing from your work with us. I feel so energized – even more than before and excited about our future. I think a follow-up group session with you would be great." Jennifer Gorman, MD, Chief of Subspecialty Medicine, The Polyclinic
"Dr. Dan Diamond... I mean, these are the heroes of this story... It's the people on the ground who are here, who just said, You know what? I see a need. Let's do it.... These are the people whose stories need to be told and, you know, sung from the rooftops." Anderson Cooper, CNN
From start (when he answered the phone rather than an assistant) to finish (spectacular presentation on April 5, 2018), Dan was a meeting planner's dream! Rather than give an "off the shelf" talk, Dan asked many questions in a sincere effort to get to know our group. He even interviewed three conference attendees before the program. The audience enjoyed and learned from his talk. He came as a speaker and left as a friend. Hire him! You won't be disappointed. Kimberly Pierce-Boggs, Executive Director, AIAMC
"Absolutely engaging, fascinating and inspiring!" Joyce Cameron, Chief Development Officer, Providence Health Care
"Dan brought extraordinary value to our organization.... He spent the time to understand our business and find just the right approach to make his presentation truly relevant to our needs. ...Everyone was engaged, moved and challenged to collaborate in ways we hadn't before. ...We were able to walk away with tools that we can apply throughout the year for tangible results. The value he brought has far exceeded our expectations." Melissa Cole, Egencia - An Expedia Company
"Dan is a wonderful human being - a person of integrity, generosity and deep wisdom. His thinking and approach to helping people perform under pressure is world class. If you get the chance to work with Dan, grab it with both hands - your world will be better with his contribution." Peter Cook, CEO, Thought Leaders
