Dr. Jeffrey P. Levine is Professor in the Departments of Family Medicine and Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences, at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He is the Director of Women's Health Programs in the Department of Family Medicine.

Very active in women's health research and education, Dr. Levine has participated in over forty clinical trials as both a principal and co-investigator studying the safety, efficacy, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacokinetics of various products for contraception, hormone replacement, osteoporosis, vaginitis, herpes, incontinence, and menstruation.

Both regionally and nationally, Dr. Levine has given presentations on women's health issues to medical professionals and the lay community. He has co-authored numerous women's health related articles, monographs, and book chapters. He also devotes much of his time to teaching students, residents, and fellows. He was recently selected as a UMDNJ Master Educator in recognition of his outstanding contributions to medical education.

Dr. Levine served as Chair of the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services' Interagency Council on Osteoporosis. He also serves as a Board Member for the Alliance for Better Bone Health and on the Medical Advisory Board of the New Jersey Family Planning League.

Recently, Dr. Levine took a bold step to improve his health and to inspire other family physicians and patients by becoming a participant in the second season television production of NBC's "The Biggest Loser," a Survivor-like weight loss reality series. After a grueling 12-week regimen, we are proud to welcome back a leaner and healthier Dr. Levine and wish him continued health and success!
 
Dr. Levine resides with his wife, four daughters, and a menagerie of adopted animals.
