high energy adventurer/mt climber/speaker: helps transform personal and business challenges into adventure and positive change

In the business world, Cheryl Perlitz is best known as the author of the popular book, "Soaring through Setbacks" and as a dynamic speaker and facilitator. Her clients, friends, and colleagues know her as a fearless mountain climber and nature lover with an insatiable spirit of adventure. She has spent years climbing formidable mountains with a heavy backpack, kayaking in rivers in the middle of nowhere, dog sledding in subzero conditions, rafting over waterfalls, and mountain biking in places most people would fear to tread.

Cheryl incorporates these experiences to educate and inspire a diverse group of audiences. An expert motivational speaker, she shares compelling stories of overcoming physical challenges and pushing personal boundaries. Then, she demonstrates how to apply the critical survival skills she learned to help people handle the daily challenges they face in today's rapidly changing world. For her clients, challenges become opportunities for adventure and positive change.

Her experiential workshops help participants learn by doing. Most importantly, participants remember the skills long after the program is over. Her programs are custom designed to fit THEIR needs.

Cheryl brings a wealth of knowledge and talent to her clients. She holds a BS and MS in Chemistry from the University of Colorado, has started up two successful businesses, and manages several real estate investment properties. Today, she is a dedicated volunteer who works with families who have lost a child and children who are fighting cancer. This role has named her as the award recipient of the "2004 Humanitarian of the Year."

Cheryl has been a member Board of Directors of The National Speakers Association - Illinois Chapter for 5 years and an active member of the National Speakers Association -- receiving the Celebration of Life Award in 2002, and the Member of the Year in 2003.
