Mr. Kawabe is an alumni of Japan's most prestigious Tokyo University of Foreign Studies where he studied Linguistics and English Language with the emphasis in verbal communication and speech. He moved his base from Japan to the United States in 1999 as an international research scholar at Southwestern College, Kansas where he received another baccalaureate degree, this time in Bilingual Speaking / Education. In order to professionally showcase, teach and self-market his oratorical speech/language art talent as his life-long career, Mr. Kawabe then obtained two master's degrees in the U.S. - one in Education and one in Business Administration (MBA).
As a bilingual oratorical performing artist, Mr. Kawabe has appeared in, or provided his vocal performances to, a number of national and international high-profile projects. His recent credits include voice-over performances for Wm. Wrigley Jr's national TV commercial campaigns, and improvisational humorous speech presentations for the on-line promotional contents for Procter & Gamble, as well as oral interpretations of dramatic scripted literatures for Atari's internationally acclaimed video game "Axis & Allies." His voice and/or performances were also featured on History Channel and Discovery Channel for their exclusive televised programs.
Additionally, we are also aware of Mr. Kawabe's community involvement and commitment ranging from judging and guest-performing oratory Forensics at regional and national intercollegiate scholastic competitions, to teaching Japanese language courses both privately and at an area college, to guest-speaking at numerous public, private, and specialty schools along with other learning organizations and communities in the country. In the artistic and entertainment capacity, Mr. Kawabe's original comedic character act "Mr. Thank You" is turning into the local icon in the state of Oklahoma in its art festivals and other seasonal state-wide events.
Mr. Kawabe is a member of NSA (National Speakers Association), SAG (Screen Actors Guild), and IFFPS (International Federation For Professional Speakers). He is represented by Kim Dawson Agency in Dallas, TX and associated with six professional speakers bureaus within the United States. Currently based in Kansas and in California, Mr. Kawabe is available for a wide range of exciting opportunities in the U.S., Japan, and many other countries whether they are for commercial usages or for not-for-profit artistic events and programs.
