Spenser Meeks helps brilliant people avoid "Death by PowerPoint" by equipping them with tactics that turn complex ideas into clear, persuasive stories which keep audiences awake, accelerate action, and ensure great ideas don’t die on slide 3.

Spenser Meeks is a presentation consultant who helps smart professionals turn complex ideas into clear, persuasive stories—so audiences lean in, decisions happen faster, and great ideas actually land.

He has trained 1,000+ professionals across the climate tech industry, coached speakers preparing for TED talks, spoke at TEDxCountdown, and led communications workshops for RE+, the largest renewable energy conference in North America (40k+ attendees). His work spans keynote preparation, panel moderation, sales presentations, investor pitches, and internal communications, any moment where audience connection really matters.

Spenser is best known for his Story Framework, a practical narrative system that gives talks an intuitive arc—helping speakers reduce cognitive load, and guide audiences smoothly from emotional engagement to intellectual justification. The result: talks that are easier to deliver, easier to follow, and far more likely to inspire action.

He specializes in working with three primary groups:

  • Event Organizers, who need to prepare speakers and moderators so sessions are engaging, cohesive, and worth attending.
  • Marketing and Sales Leaders, who own the buyer's journey—ensuring decks, messaging, and technical experts work together to move deals forward.
  • Company Executives, who need to come off as confident, credible thought leaders that get people to care enough to buy, fund, or partner at scale.

Before founding Apex Presentations, Spenser managed $20M+ per year in international laser sales, giving him a firsthand understanding of how clear communication directly drives revenue, trust, and momentum. He blends that experience with a background in theater and a frequently humorous, highly practical coaching style that respects his audiences’ intelligence—without letting complexity get in the way of connection.

When he’s not coaching speakers or running workshops, Spenser can be found experimenting with questionable cocktail ideas and continuing his ongoing education in wrestling a very determined kindergartener in Portland, Oregon.
