Major General Robert W. Mixon, Jr. retired from the U.S. Army in 2007 after more than 30 years of active duty. Robert commanded armor and cavalry units at all levels, from platoon to brigade. He also led the Army’s Task Force Modularity, a team of highly skilled military and civilian experts chartered with changing the Army’s force design while at war. Their mission was accomplished in less than one year, transforming the United States’ battlefield formations and allowing the Army to dominate the enemy in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Robert also served in senior positions in the Department of Defense, including Deputy Executive Assistant to General Colin Powell, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Upon retirement from the Army, Robert transitioned to impactful leadership roles in the private sector. As President at Magnatag Visible Systems in Macedon, NY, he successfully navigated the company through the worst economic crisis in America since the Great Depression. He then became Executive Vice President of CDS Monarch, where he and his team provided life and job transition services for over 1500 people with developmental disabilities. He also helped found the Warrior Salute Program for Veterans with PTSD and TBI. In 2014, he co-founded Level Five Associates, a leadership and strategic planning company, which serves companies and organizations across the country.

Robert is the the co-author of Amazon #1 best seller, Cows in the Living Room: Developing an Effective Strategic Plan and Sustaining It (2014), and author of Amazon Best New Release We’re All In: The Journey to a World-Class Culture (2017).
