Why This Matters

Constant stress, busyness, and working long hours at the expense of your well-being, mental health, and family/personal time aren't just unnecessary—they hurt performance and leadership. Because it's really hard to be your best when you’re burned out, overwhelmed, or pulled in way too many directions.

There’s a better way to live, work, and lead than what we’ve been taught all our lives, and working harder doesn't equal success. People want flexibility and a better work life, and the workforce is also changing.

Research continues to show that working less can make us more effective. When we give our minds and bodies time to recharge—and make space in our days for what really matters (not just doing more with less)—we not only feel better, we make better decisions about how we use our time and energy.

Our happiness and well-being aren’t separate from performance—they drive it. When we’re burned out, stretched too thin, and constantly stressed, we’re less focused, less productive, and less resilient.

When we feel better, we perform better. And balanced leaders are better leaders. People are healthier, engaged, and productive, which naturally improves satisfaction, retention, and other bottom-line outcomes. It’s a more sustainable, enjoyable—and sane—way to work, lead, and live.

Life is too short to be so darn busy!
