Hilary C. Thompson
Prepare for a Posilution©: see adversity, relationships, challenges, and yourself in a positive light. Come away with simple, practical, and effective tools. Plan to laugh a little, be moved, inspired, changed. A gifted trainer, transplant caregiver, and best-selling author, with 25+ years experience in leadership, she's honed a life-changing approach used successfully since 2013.
Hilary is an internationally-bestselling author, a renowned speaker, and life coach, and since 2013, has run a parent support group of almost 3000 caregivers that span the globe. But more importantly, she was a mama who wanted to become Better, Not Bitter©, and invented a process called Posilution© to do just that. She's collected dozens of tools to aid in navigating the emotional turmoil, stress, and complexities that surround parenting a kiddo with special needs, and, really, any hardship or stressful chapter in life. Her mission is to help those who encounter adversity, to find peace, ease, a quiet confidence, gratitude, and joy even in this challenging journey.
After quitting a successful career as a marketing executive, she became a certified life coach (2020) and founded HARTT Coaching, specializing in resilience and coping skills, using methods such as inquiry-based stress relief (IBSR) and proprietary methods and courses she's developed. She is an international best-selling author, winner of the League of Utah Writers for best non-fiction in 2024 (for “Dear Mama in the Darkness”) and an accomplished speaker, teacher and mental health practitioner. She specializes in teaching life-changing tools to individuals and teams that lend in healing trauma, anxiety and depression, and radically improve life quality. She thinks that everyone has the potential to find joy and purpose, and align with who they were created to be.
She has a homestead in Fairview, where she enjoys raising chickens, a very small flock of Olde English Southdown Babydoll sheep, gardening, crocheting, and making sourdough bread. Recently, she opened The HARTT Barn, a community education space founded to equip the people in her community with skills, tools, an environment that blesses them.
Currently she is partnering with a group of physicians to study pediatric medical trauma in an effort to improve processes, positively affecting the lives of sick kids and their families.
In her "spare" time, she runs a hobby farm with way too many bougie sheep and chickens, swing-dances in her dining room with vinyl on the turn table, and is forever chasing the perfect cup of coffee and one more hour in the day.
