As an award-winning marketing professional and storytelling expert, Jess helps audiences discover how to create lasting impact through intentional, emotionally charged moments. With powerful takeaways and a relatable voice, she leaves people feeling seen, energized, and ready to show up with purpose in both their personal and professional lives.

Born and raised in upstate New York, Jess Macmillan has always believed in the power of presence, storytelling, and memory. Deeply influenced by her grandparents, especially her grandfather who was a charismatic MC, singer, band leader, and insurance salesman, Jess grew up learning the magic of a microphone and the importance of human connection. That passion led her to SUNY Potsdam, where she studied Speech Communication and found her own love for holding the mic at events.

After college, Jess took a detour to explore holistic wellness through massage therapy, but life continued to challenge her. It wasn’t until she found herself in a marketing role, counting swag pens, dressing up as mascots, and writing campaigns, that she realized she had found her calling. Marketing allowed her to blend creativity, emotion, and strategy to turn everyday interactions into something unforgettable.

The true heart of Jess’s journey came through personal loss. After her beloved grandfather passed, she spent some of the most meaningful years of her life creating new memories with her grandmother. At her grandmother’s funeral, Jess opened the eulogy with a simple truth: “Someone once said memories are the richest treasure, and that makes me the richest woman in the world.” That belief has carried her ever since.

Jess sees memory as a sacred legacy. It is what we leave behind, and what can leave us behind. From her own early experiences with trauma and fragmented memories, to creating magical, intentional moments for her daughters, Jess has made it her mission to help others hold onto what matters most.

In her work as a marketer, podcast host of The Uncaged Pod, and founder of the Moment Marketer brand, Jess teaches people and brands how to transform ordinary interactions into lasting emotional imprints. Her signature Magical Moment Mapping framework offers five essential steps that anyone—individuals, leaders, or businesses—can use to create connection that sticks. Clients who implement her strategies not only build loyalty but also see stronger returns through relationships rooted in meaning.

Now an award-winning marketing professional and proud student of Mic Drop Workshop and the Mic Drop Club, Jess is using her voice to inspire others to be bold, be seen, and most of all, to be the moment.
