Chris Occhipinti is the founder and director of Homeless 2 Homeownership (H2H), a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization he has led for over 22 years with a deep commitment to faith, recovery, and transformation. H2H was born from profound personal tragedy—the loss of Chris’s son in a drunk driving accident—and has grown into a life-affirming mission to help individuals break free from addiction and rebuild their lives with dignity, purpose, and God’s grace.
Fueled by unwavering faith and a calling to serve the most vulnerable, Chris has helped over 30,000 individuals—addicts, ex-felons, abused women, veterans, and the homeless—find a better path. Under his leadership, H2H has operated entirely without government funding, relying instead on faith, community support, and innovative real estate ventures that not only fund the mission but also equip participants with practical skills and financial literacy.
At the heart of Chris’s approach is the belief that “there is a Better Way.” His program offers holistic services: sobriety support, legal navigation, driver’s license recovery, job training and placement, credit repair, education, and even the opportunity for homeownership—regardless of one’s past or credit history.
With a 50%+ long-term sobriety success rate—far above the national average—H2H stands as a beacon of hope. Through real estate rehabilitation projects, Chris teaches participants hands-on trade skills while generating income to sustain the program. His team has even donated homes to mothers reuniting with children once believed lost—successfully helping 42 out of 43 families reclaim their futures.
Chris has also pioneered workforce development initiatives, employing hundreds in hospitality and partnering with employers to launch a results-driven Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Unlike traditional EAPs, his model addresses core issues—addiction, legal barriers, and transportation—empowering employees to thrive both personally and professionally.
Guided by his faith and the memory of his son, Chris continues to pour his heart into every life he touches. His message is simple, yet powerful: “No matter who, what, or where you are today… with God’s grace and hard work, you can achieve success.”
