Steve is an Air Force Veteran, former Firefighter/ EMT and Multidisciplined Engineer concentrating in System Safety, Reliability and Human Factors Engineering. He is also a Certified Speaker, Coach, and Trainer with the John Maxwell Leadership Team. As a member of the Air Force, he worked in Air Force Space Command where he was a Satellite Systems Operator.
After leaving the service he spent 10 years working in the Fire and EMS industry where part of his time was spent managing a private ambulance service in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area as the company’s Safety Officer. In 2012 He completed a bachelor’s degree in Space Studies from the American Military University and went to work for Raytheon at the NOAA Satellite Operations Center in Suitland Maryland where he quickly became the Ground Station Lead Engineer providing weather data to the National Weather Service, NASA, NOAA, and the United States Air Force.
Steve is currently a Manager for L3Harris in Greenville, TX where his efforts are concentrated on providing Safety, Reliability, and Human Factors analysis to the FAA and Military. Steve’s wide range of experience and over 30 years of leadership have positioned him to have a unique blend of exposure as a leader in several different industries. He is an advocate for creating a culture of significance, providing personal growth insights during coaching and helping others to work through adversity.
In his personal journey Steve has fought and beat cancer and has been in remission for Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma since 2016. This personal victory gives him a unique perspective on adversity and illness. Steve is a very active member in his community and does a lot of charity work with Veterans in need as well as the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. When he is not helping others, Steve enjoys spending time riding his Harley as well as visiting with friends and family.
