Ruth Pearce, Esq. is a speaker and coach for high-achieving professionals who are done paying for their success with exhaustion. She helps people protect their performance and their health—without adding one more impossible “self-care to-do list” to an already overloaded life.

If your people are succeeding on paper and struggling in private, Ruth Pearce is the speaker you want.

Ruth brings credibility from three directions: the legal profession, coaching expertise, and lived experience. She is an attorney licensed in California and North Carolina, an ICF PCC credentialed coach, and a PMP. She earned her JD as valedictorian (Purdue Global Law School) and holds an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics. She also teaches ethics for Wellcoaches and has worked in high-pressure environments where decisions, people, and deadlines collide.

She also speaks from experience—because she’s been through burnout more than once. Ruth burned out while working full-time and completing her law degree. She recovered, kept going, and later hit burnout again in a demanding state government transformation role.

Her third burnout was the kind people remember: a “dream job” that became unsustainable when leadership wouldn’t address real risks. That moment pushed her to stop treating burnout like a personal weakness and start treating it like what it often is: a predictable outcome of chronic overload, unclear boundaries, and constant pressure to prove yourself.

Ruth has since built a body of work that reaches people at scale. She created multiple LinkedIn Learning courses on mindfulness, bravery, team engagement, burnout, and coaching skills, reaching 160,000+ learners.

She’s the author of Be Hopeful, Be Strong, Be Brave, Be Curious (Wiley, 2024) and Be a Project Motivator (Berrett-Koehler, 2018). She’s also a regular guest speaker at Suffolk University Law School and speaks to professional audiences who want practical tools—not platitudes.

What audiences get from Ruth: clarity, relief, and a plan. She teaches simple ways to spot burnout early, recover faster after stress spikes, and protect judgment and integrity under pressure. People leave with tools they can use immediately: reset skills for real workdays, boundary language that doesn’t backfire, and one realistic next step that makes life better—not busier.

Something a little more personal.

British-born and now a U.S. citizen, Ruth Pearce, Esq. has built her career inside complex systems—starting in economics, moving into large-scale program leadership, and later into law and coaching.

She earned her BSc in Economics (University of Bath), MSc in Economic Theory (London School of Economics), and JD (Concord Law School at Purdue University Global). Before founding A Lever Long Enough, Ruth led high-stakes work in demanding environments, including enterprise program leadership where outcomes depended on clarity, trust, and follow-through—not just intelligence.

She also has training in mediation and conflict resolution, which shows up in her calm, practical approach to difficult conversations.

Outside of work, Ruth is at her best in nature—under trees, near water, and usually with her two dogs (while her two rabbits run the home base).

She loves synthesizing ideas across disciplines, and her “perfect job” is simple: get paid to learn—then translate what she learns into tools people can use immediately.
