Arcelia Miller has journeyed from combat boots to high heels to flip flops in her leadership experience, showcasing her versatile and impactful leadership path. As the Executive Director of Under His Wings, a nonprofit residential home for teen girls in Baldwin County, Arcelia has been at the helm since 2019, guiding the organization with a mission to provide counseling, education, and life skills training to young women. Her leadership has been instrumental in earning Under His Wings the title of 2022 Non-Profit of the Year from the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce.


Arcelia’s career began as a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force, where she honed her leadership skills before transitioning into the corporate world as a business consultant and leadership/executive coach. She also brings a wealth of experience from her roles as a stay at home mom, homeschool director with Classical Conversations for six years and as the Younger Children’s Director at Faith Family Fellowship for two years.


She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The George Washington University and a Master’s in Quality Systems Management from The National Graduate School. Arcelia is a certified Biblical Counselor, a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner, and a Maxwell Leadership certified coach, speaker, trainer, and teacher.


In 2024, Arcelia graduated from Leadership Baldwin and remains deeply involved in her community’s mission field. She has faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher for 14 years and is active on the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce Board, the Advisory Council for Prodisee Pantry, and a volunteer of The Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans.

Arcelia has been married to her husband, Billy Miller, since 1999, and they reside in Daphne with their two teenagers. She is passionate about her faith, her family, and preparing the next generation of leaders for God’s Kingdom and His glory.
