Amy Kroll is a nationally recognized leader in empowering women, who specializes in motivating her audience to take action and change the world. As the Founder and Executive Director of the LBJ Women’s Campaign School at the University of Texas at Austin, Amy has helped over 300 women from all political backgrounds make change in their communities by running for elected office, earning political appointments, and becoming senior political advisors. A distinguished leader, Amy was selected by Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush for the 2020 class of Presidential Leadership Scholars. In 2019, the European Parliament recognized her as one of 100 global leaders in the European Union's Visitors Program.
With nearly a decade of experience in politics, Amy has contributed to U.S. Senate and congressional campaigns for Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) and Rep. Pete Gallego (D-TX), served in the press office of Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY), and worked with the National Democratic Institute (NDI), Texas Democratic Party, and for the Chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC). Her passion for fostering a diverse and representative democracy led her to found the LBJ Women's Campaign School in 2019.
Amy's work has been featured in USA Today, Punchbowl News, the 19th News, Military Families Magazine, the Austin American Statesman, the Dallas Morning News, KXAN Austin, Texas Monthly, the Texas Tribune, and Univision San Antonio.
She serves on the inaugural Dean's Advisory Board of the Clinton School of Public Service, where she continues to elevate public service leaders in the South.
Amy holds degrees from Stanford University and the LBJ School of Public Affairs. As a proud U.S. Air Force spouse, she resides in Alexandria, Virginia, with her husband Louis, their son Archer, and their dog Julian.
