My upcoming book, When Women Get Sick, shows women how to maximize coverage, benefits and security and minimize stress, fear and confusion as they navigate illness.

With over 25 years of experience as a patient and workplace advocate, Rebecca Bloom is the author and founder of When Women Get Sick, a forthcoming book that guides women through the complex challenges of navigating the American healthcare system and workplace when facing cancer or other serious illness. Drawing on her background as a former workplace and benefits attorney, Rebecca provides women with practical advice, insights, and resources based on her personal and professional expertise.

Rebecca is also a passionate writer, editor, storyteller, and content strategist who helps individuals and organizations craft compelling and impactful pieces, campaigns, and projects. She has worked with startups, nonprofits, and other entities in various fields, as well as coached writers and professionals on their books, screenplays, think-pieces, and more. Rebecca's goal is to use her skills and experience to inspire, inform, and empower her readers and clients.

Rebecca is a Yale and NYU School of Law-educated former workplace and benefits attorney who has worked with thousands of women over 25 years at Bay Area Cancer Connections in the Silicon Valley. She co-wrote and edited Breast Cancer in The Workplace published for California employers by the Northern California Cancer Center and served as consulting editor on an expanded version, Cancer in the Workplace, published by the Cancer Prevention Institute.
