Inspiring audiences to persevere, excel, and have a commitment to making a difference. It's a message of motivating others to push beyond their limits and make a lasting impact in the world.
Stephen Howard is a distinguished leader and scholar whose journey has taken him from the basketball court to the global stage of leadership development. As the first and last member of DePaul University's men's basketball team to be named First Team Academic All-American, he exemplified excellence both on and off the court. His senior year culminated in the prestigious Anson Mount Scholar Athlete Award, recognizing him as the nation's premier scholar-athlete.
Transitioning to the NBA, Stephen played four impactful years with the Seattle Supersonics, San Antonio Spurs, and the Utah Jazz, notably reaching the NBA Finals in 1996-1997 against Michael Jordan and the Bulls. Beyond basketball, Stephen's life has been a journey of exploration and cultural immersion, living in 12 countries across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
Stephen's post-NBA career has been equally impressive. Joining ESPN as a college basketball analyst and later becoming the studio analyst for the NBA's Oklahoma City Thunder and New Orleans Pelicans at FOX Sports, he has shared his insights and passion for the game with fans worldwide.
However, Stephen's true calling lies in leadership development. With a master's in Organizational Leadership, he founded the Leadership Syndicate™, dedicated to empowering individuals and communities to achieve their full potential and leave a lasting legacy. Stephen's speaking engagements inspire audiences of all ages to tap into their inner leader, embrace success, learn from adversity, and approach goal-setting with intentionality.
