MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS
Formulates foreign policy, conducting and coordinating its implementation through its organizational structure and the interaction of public and private actors, to safeguard the interests of the country and its nationals in its relation to the world; its minister often is regarded as the most senior position after the head of government. Represented the Republic of Chile in Dallas, conducting official activities within the Texas territory in the United States, under the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of Chile in Houston. Was already acting liaison for the chilean local community when after thoughtful consideration and due diligence of the United States Department of State, was appointed Honorary Consul of Chile in Dallas to perform all duties entrusted directly by the Consul General office. The consular district, as the territory within which those functions may be performed, included the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. During that time, responsibilities encompassed but were not limited to: the witnessing and handling of sensitive information for governmental use including passports, identification documents, power of attorney, legal signatures, etc. The managing of special cases that involved local authorities. The setting up, in its entirety, of the "consulate express" service provided on site whenever the Consulate General would visit the region. The official representation at local U.S.A. entities including colleges, universities, and other academic exchanges.
PRO CHILE INNOVATION SUMMIT
The Export Promotion Bureau (ProChile) is an agency under the Foreign Ministry's Directorate General for International Economic Relations, which works to advance and consolidate Chilean trade policy. Chile has negotiated twenty-six free trade agreements between sixty-four trading partners who represent 64% of the world's population and 86% of global GDP. The US-based offices specialize in connecting American importers with Chilean exporters. It operates an intensive training program to ensure that companies that venture into the US market possess the qualities they need to attract international buyers. It assists small and medium-size enterprises in their trade expansion efforts by leveraging the opportunities afforded by recent trade agreements, fostering public-private partnerships, and helping position Chile in the international marketplace. In economic advocacy, under 'commerce communication' was charged with a mission to generate and develop reciprocal commercial opportunities through promotion, education and stratigic alliances. With the idea of becoming the leader organization supporting internationalization, the objective was to activate and diversify areas of cooperation, commerce, investment and investigation between Chile and Texas. Attract and retain the participation of talented and professional collaborators. Ignite and strengthen transnational activities through a digital, efficient and transparent effort. As acting chamber of commerce director, signed agreement of collaboration with Minister of Foreign Affairs and ProChile Director, channeling additional resources to the region together with five other entities in the United States.

Moderated in real-time and fully produced international virtual session between top tier leadership based in Santiago Chile, Houston/Dallas Texas U.S.A. for renowned Sentrum Global conference, with focus on how 'Dallas /Fort Worth' offers global and regional competitiveness via increased business opportunities between Asia, Latin America, and North Texas. Liaised with Trade Representative for Chile in Texas, to speak as part of the remarks in Session-1 Part-1 of the larger conference. He talked about how Chile remained as one of the world's 70 largest trading economies. ProChile had just launched a new office in Houston, as a testament to the growing trade relationship between Chile and Texas. My international virtual session was part of their 'DFW International Airport Location & Its Global Impact' segment. The DFW International Airport is one of the leading economic generators for the North Texas Region, producing back then over $37 billion in economic impact annually. Sentrum Global is an expert organization in business and international trade with certified global business professionals.
IN-PERSON EVENT
Presented LIVE! 'Why Chile?' to an international audience of more than one hundred guests at the Latino Cultural Center. From Consul General of Mexico among other diplomats and Consular Corps, the World Affairs Council among other organizations, the local head of University of Texas business laboratory among other academics, to entrepreneurs and members of the business community attended. The event generated exchange opportunities supporting regional activities of ProChile based in Florida and Invest Chile based in California.
THE MARTIN AUTOMOTIVE GROUP® is a family-owned business, perhaps one of the largest black-owned dealerships at the time, that has been serving the automotive industry since 1985. In advertising, coordinated the marketing production of this established management group creating marketing communication material for mass media placement throughout half their territory which included several states. Cultivated superb relationships with general managers of multiple business units. Created content for mass media distribution: print and broadcast—including design. Tracked newspaper publications across state lines and delivered reports to the vice president (who became president upon founder's passing) & chief marketing officer, with whom worked directly to set media goals.
CLARENDON COLLEGE® is the oldest institution of higher education in the Texas Panhandle, having been established in 1898 by the Methodist Episcopal Church, South. The College was successfully administered by the church through the first quarter of the 20th Century. Eight counties comprise the service area. In public information, produced press releases for newspaper, radio and television of one of the oldest educational institutions in the state. Conceptualized message for marketing communication campaign including TV commercial. Managed media relations and public information throughout multiple outlets. Tracked advertising across county lines and provided reports to dean and college president. Wrote content for mass media dissemination—print, broadcast and digital—including scripts for radio and television advertising. Edited booklets and pamphlets. Introduced digital advertising to the service area.

In broadcast journalism, managed logistics of breaking news. Monitored newsdesk of local stories for the night newscast. Oversaw newsroom communications including wire, satellite, and police scanner. Assigned on-site anchors, reporters and videographers. Edited rundown and copy as needed. Handled booking of on-air guests. Responsible for communication tasks during Live-Stream of public service campaigns. Worked directly with Producer and News Director to ensure accurate and timely coverage.
