What I witnessed and experienced with the death of my uncle twenty years ago was the aftermath of a loved one’s death, worsened by the lack of planning. His passing left us questioning, doubting, and regretting most of the decisions we made in his last days. No one knew what he wanted. No one knew what decisions he would have made if he could have made them himself. No one would ever know the answers. We walked with him in his last days blind to where it would lead us all. My journey through these last twenty years growing my Estate Planning law practice is a riveting testament to how conversations, organization, and planning will change the course of a family’s life. It’s my story.
