Katie Cosgrove is a Certified Trauma Support Specialist, expert in grief and once-grieving child.
Growing up with death as a taboo subject, Cosgrove made it her mission to start talking about her grief publicly and encouraging others to do the same. Starting with her father, Cosgrove lost a family member, friend or pet at every age between 15 and 21, resulting in a tremendous amount of grief and need for healing.
Since then, she founded Grief is Good, a platform to discuss death and dying openly and honestly. In her bestselling children's book, I’ll See You in Your Dreams Tonight, she highlights how to make new memories with loved ones who have passed away.
She is also in the process of becoming an end-of-life doula. Appearing in numerous podcast episodes and articles, Cosgrove advocates for a death-positive life by taking out the anxiety surrounding grief and dying.
