Sheila’s keynote at our Networking Essentials event made an impact on our students. Her question, ‘Who is on your team?’ sparked real reflection about community and connection. She left our students energized and confident to build their own networks.

Over the past year, Sheila Jones has been a transformative partner with Council for Opportunity in Education - COE, delivering high-impact programming for TRIO students and alumni nationwide. Her career training and leadership workshops empowered more than 200 students, with 94% reporting a major boost in confidence for navigating jobs and interviews. Sheila’s programs sparked honest conversations about resilience, identity, and belonging, helping students feel deeply connected and seen. She led networking initiatives that directly resulted in over a dozen internships and first-job offers, proving the power of access and relationships. Through her work with American University’s National Student Leadership Congress, she advanced leadership, civic engagement, and graduate-school readiness for more than 100 TRIO participants. Sheila’s vision and commitment consistently turn aspiration into action, creating ripple effects that uplift TRIO students and alumni across the country.

I recently attended the Southern Lancaster Chamber of Commerce professional development in which Sheila Jones spoke to every learning style. I have trouble focusing if the material doesn’t hold my attention. But the whole time I was captivated. She repeated important points and challenged the crowd with participation. We all were laughing and at times surprised by her stories. I will definitely be looking forward to the next time I see her speak somewhere. I’m still chewing on the info she shared.

It's very rare these days to be able to go to a professional workshop that is completely interactive but also completely informative and useful. I loved getting to interact with my peers (that were all strangers) in deep meaningful ways and I loved getting to use tactile props along the way. I felt like each of the questions and prompts really got at the idea of vulnerability and how vulnerability is an important piece of leadership. Sheila did a great job modeling vulnerability with us to help us feel comfortable opening up in the same way. Actually because of the vulnerable sharing that people did I even made more connections after the Pennsylvania Workforce Development Association Symposium in this workshop than I did in other sessions. I attended Sheila Jones’ breakout session at the 2025 Southern Lancaster Chamber Professional Development Conference, and it was outstanding. Her presentation, “Decode and Deliver: Selling to Every Personality Style with Confidence,” immediately caught my attention as I work to strengthen how I communicate and sell to clients. Although I’m already familiar with DiSC concepts, Sheila’s class was a powerful refresher. She broke down the core traits of each personality style and highlighted the information and culture each one values. Her energetic storytelling and clever use of props made the session both engaging and memorable - elements that truly helped the lessons stick. Our group enjoyed sharing personal experiences, learning from one another, and sharing plenty of laughs along the way. I left the session with a renewed perspective on how to listen to and connect with others, plus practical tactics for approaching clients of all personality styles with confidence and clarity. Sheila’s session was impactful, enjoyable, and genuinely useful.

I've attended many sessions on DISC over the years - from two-hour workshops to multi-day programs. All were valuable, but none compared to the session led by Sheila Jones. Sheila has a unique gift for breaking down complex concepts and delivering them in a way that's clear, engaging, and easy to digest. Her session was not only informative but genuinely enjoyable - she had us laughing and participating throughout. Despite being in a group where I didn't know anyone, Sheila created an inclusive and comfortable space that encouraged everyone to share openly. Sheila spoke to our Youth Program Participants on June 30, 2025 at PA CareerLink and shared her powerful story and insights on resilience, purpose, and leadership. Her message deeply impacted both our alumni and me personally. One moment that stood out was when she said, “Your story is your superpower.” That line still echoes in my mind; It reminded us all that our experiences, no matter how difficult, can be a source of strength and inspiration. Sheila’s authenticity and energy truly moved the room.

I have had the privilege of hearing Sheila speak on several occasions, and each experience has been both powerful and unforgettable. During her keynote, she shared a deeply personal story about growing up and surviving in a family marked by abuse. She spoke about how an educator — Vivian Gist Spencer, her English professor — changed the trajectory of her life simply by believing in her. Sheila’s ability to tell her story with such authenticity, clarity, and emotion was profoundly moving. Her message inspired me to reflect not only on the educators in the room but also on my own relationships and the legacy I want to leave.

As a board member for Junior Achievement, I sought out Sheila to launch our first year of Junior Achievement in Pre-K. Sheila taught, spoke, and presented multiple modules to our students in four school districts. It is not easy to engage and entertain students. However, Sheila is natural with kids. She had the kids laughing, crawling, jumping, and the best part ......learning! With Sheila's help, the program was a huge success. We recruited Sheila to continue the Junior Achievement program in our schools, and we look forward to an amazing year.

I met Sheila at an IFT conference when she was discussing the Green Pepper Project. Her speech moved me and motivated me in a rough time where I recently lost my job to injury. She provided thorough guidance and preparation in getting me back in the workforce and afterwards I decided I still had much to learn from her so we continued by assessing my personality and how applicable it would be to other aspects of my life.
