Dr. Tracy Powell is a Professional Speaker and Practical Leadership Expert, who has spent over 15 years training, mentoring, and coaching leaders on Practical Leadership strategies and Compassion that increase employee morale, productivity, and deliver tangible results, when people matter in organizations.
A South Carolina native, Dr. Tracy earned a Bachelors in Sociology, Master’s in Social Work and a Doctorate in Philosophy from the University of South Carolina. She is a published author of Practical Leadership: Lessons Learned from Mickey, and The Leadership Journal.
Dr. Tracy has led and coached hundreds of enthusiastic leaders and delivered over 80+ speeches. She is a Certified Executive Coach, Certified Federal Mediator, and a Distinguished Toastmaster. Dr. Tracy has been featured in the Speakers Magazine, Columbia Business Monthly, Greenville Business, and Charleston Business magazines. Additionally, she has been interviewed on podcasts, featured in newspapers, and on the Soda City News.
Dr. Tracy enjoys the outdoors and farming. She grew up on a tobacco farm. Discovering peace and solitude there, Dr. Tracy is a registered farmer in SC, producing corn, soybeans, and cotton annually. When she is not working, she spends time with family, at the beach, reading, and preparing for monthly 5Ks.
Dr. Tracy often reminds everyone that life has a lot of hills and valleys, but if we show ourselves grace and demonstrate compassion we all win.
