I had a chance to attend two of Christopher Sund's sessions at the National Association for Health Care Recruitment (NAHCR) 2025 conference. I recently had the pleasure of hearing Chris speak at a healthcare recruiter conference, where his presentation on Handling Hiring Objections in recruitment was both insightful and engaging. He captivated the audience as he broke down the various objections recruiters often face during the hiring process and, more importantly, demonstrated effective strategies for overcoming them. One of the key takeaways from his session was his explanation of the LAARC method: Listen, Acknowledge the Objection, Ask a Question, Respond to the Objection, and Confirm that the objection was handled. His practical approach and clear framework left me feeling more confident and better equipped to handle future hiring challenges.

I’d like to share my thoughts on Chris Sund as a speaker. I have heard him present several times. I think his topics are well researched. His presentation style has a good flow and Chris weaves in many practical tips or real life examples that make the discussion realistic and relatable. I know we would love to have him present again.

Chris Sund presented to various disciplines in our organization and has broadened their knowledge and comprehension further than most other speakers on leadership. Not only did he work with our change in scheduling, topics, and even how many speakers were onstage at the same time, but he did it with grace and tact. I had the pleasure of hearing Chris speak at an Empower Breakfast for Handling Objections. Having started a brand new role in Business Development recently, the timing was perfect! Chris is a great story teller and shared how he was persistent and determined to get what he wanted in his career. The Lucky Bucket story is comical, but also illustrates how persistence and doing your research can help you win. I found the focus on "the pause" and how we speak, resonated and caused me to pause. "How you talk matters..." This was an interesting highlight - and though, simple enough, powerful. Tone, words and even our body language while listening - all lead us to the next conversation in business development.

As a fairly new Area Director of the Sarpy County Empower Breakfast but a long time event planner I was on the lookout for a dynamic featured speaker and was fortunate enough to have Chris Sund come into my life and be my February speaker and talk to us about “Handling Objections In Everyday Life”. Before I heard him I thought, “Hmmm, nice title, I wonder if he’ll deliver any new ideas.” He was amazing!
