Jean Houston Shore

Jean Houston Shore

CPA, MBA, CSPGA, US
Seasoned business professional, experienced group facilitator and problem-solver.

Jean Houston Shore works with organizations that want their people to work together better and with people who want to achieve more in life. Whether she's giving a keynote on managing change, conducting communication skills training for managers or facilitating an offsite leadership retreat, Jean's combination of enthusiasm and expertise makes the experience fun.

Through guiding participants to develop leadership acumen, discover personal values or create career management strategies, Jean challenges achievers in many industries to new levels of mastery. Jean's consulting clients repeatedly say that her ability to isolate core issues and her willingness to ask the "tough" questions help them to achieve measurable improvements quickly. Jean's best known keynote programs are Personal Bannering, Leadership with Vision, and Making Great Things Happen.

Before founding her company Jean traveled to Canada, the United Kingdom, and throughout the United States, teaching Total Quality Management. She began her career as a Certified Public Accountant, having passed the CPA exam in her first sitting. Creator of five comprehensive management development programs, Jean's work on values clarification, change management and leadership has been featured in three books, Reach for the Stars, Where There's Change, There's Opportunity, and Irresistible Leadership.

Jean received her MBA from Baylor University, having attained a perfect 4.0 grade point average in her studies. A summa cum laude graduate of Mercer University (BBA), Jean is a member of the National Speakers Association, the Georgia Speakers Association, the American Institute of CPAs, and the American Society for Quality. Jean works with a diverse base of clients including corporations such as AT&T, BellSouth, CIBA Vision and WORLDSPAN and with associations and non-profits like 4-H, Boy and Girl Scouts of America, and Special Olympics. She recently served on the Board of Examiners for the Georgia Oglethorpe Award Process (Georgia's highest business award) and was named by the Virginia Society of CPAs as Discussion Leader of the Year.
