Jack Spates the University of Oklahoma Wrestling Head Coach
Jack Spates has been a builder of programs, a mentor of coaches and a developer of wrestlers as an assistant and head coach. He was as a High School All American and was the collegiate national champion in 1973 at Slippery Rock University. His coaching career began at Baptist Bible College in 1975, leading the school to six conference championships. Since that time he has coached at the Univ. of Pittsburgh, US Military Academy, and Cornell. He had a tremendous amount of professional and personal success at those proud universities. Jack is currently the Head Coach at the University of Oklahoma. He has brought a once struggling program to a perennial national power through his tireless recruiting, ability to motivate, and transparent integrity
