Dr. Byerly is a highly motivated visionary leader, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner (LSATP), Adjunct Professor, speaker, group trainer, and executive coach, with over 20 years experience working with individuals, groups, and businesses in inpatient and outpatient mental health, crisis management, education, and the criminal justice system.
Dr. Byerly has received several honors and awards for improving the overall departmental efficiency and performance of businesses and assisting other departments in completing tasks and improving the overall effectiveness of the department. Dr. Byerly is the founder of Freedom Counseling, a professional counseling private practice dedicated to helping individuals and businesses achieve their personal and business growth through speaking, group training, one-on-one coaching and Individual counseling/therapy. She is successful in providing leadership in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of mental health programs and services to enhance growth for individuals and businesses.
Dr. Byerly began in leadership as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) assisting in the program development, implementation, evaluation, and management of a residential treatment center for adolescent girls with emotional and behavioral disorders. She continued on the journey of leadership by developing, launching, and overseeing a substance abuse/dependence program at a large mental health private practice for individuals with alcohol and drug abuse/dependence.
