Ms. Drew is a phenomenal speaker who connects with her audience and provides them with insightful information measured by her life experience. She does her homework before giving any presentation. Because of her homework, she can relate to the audience. I have known Ms. Drew for many years. The organization chart says she worked under my supervision twice, but we worked together. She has an uncanny ability to identify and use the issues to challenge her audience. Her listening skills are what make her an exceptional presenter. I first heard Darlene speak at an organization of which I am a member. As I listened to her provide training on leadership, I was certain she could be helpful to our organization. After she completed her presentation, we briefly spoke about her providing training to the members of our Leadership Team at the Firm. Lambda Epsilon Omega Chapter Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Leadership Development Summer Retreat "Growth. Planning. Succession. I was introduced to Darlene Drew from another speaker that spoke at a previous meeting for our organization. Due to their confidence in Darlene’s ability to serve as an engaging speaker and to speak on a topic that would resonate with our members, we requested Darlene to speak at our June Chapter meeting, She did not disappoint us! I want to share some of the feedback from our chapter members about her presentation. Darlene served as Speaker for our June 2022 Atlanta Chapter of APA Meeting. In my role as Education Chair for our Chapter who coordinates our speakers, I asked Darlene to share her insights about leadership at our meeting. Some of the specific things I asked her to address included: How do you prepare to lead, How do you lead people to become leaders, and How do you discipline without being aggressive? In her presentation, she covered all of the topics requested and added other important aspects of leadership. Darlene was the Keynote Speaker for the 2021 Woman of the Year Award Luncheon for the Jackson County Area Chamber of Commerce on November 17, 2021. She was a great communicator from the start. Recently I had Darlene Drew come into a meeting with my team for a Leadership Game. Wow, what fun! We had a great time together and Darlene was so helpful with leading us through a game that helped us all to get to know each other better. I was fortunate to meet Darlene at a Virginia Probation and Parole Conference in 2018, where she facilitated a workshop on Leadership. Ms. Drew provided my team of 7 employees a training session for True Colors – Keys to Successful Business Leadership on August 18, 2021. The training True Colors purpose was to identify each of my staff communication style. She was well prepared and organized. The training was conducted proficiently and timely. Ms. Drew was very knowledgeable on the topics and was ready to answer any questions from my staff. She had a professional attitude. In addition, Ms. Drew engaged my staff in different activities with break out group sessions providing scenarios to see how everyone would handle the situation. Some of my staff were able to learn how they have similar personalities/styles as their colleagues. By understanding how everyone communicate either differently or similar, they are better able to understand each other. Also, being in a virtual environment and having some of my staff located in different parts of the US, they were able to learn more about each other. The team loved it and it helped everyone to work together even better during these challenging last few months. Currently individual staff members are attending True Colors class and the feedback is great. I can see how the participants are applying the learned content directly in the workplace. In addition, Darlene has consulted us, the owners, throughout this year. I highly recommend her services. She makes learning fun and interactive and Darlene is great at connecting people.
