AZ, USDR. Yohana, Resilience Leader | Transforming Adversity Into Authority. "If your audience has ever wondered whether their struggles could become their greatest strength. This Resilience Doctor equips attendees to lead through pressure, build resilience, and turn setbacks into lasting impact.
Dr. Yohana was born in a refugee clinic between Rwanda and Uganda, his first breath a declaration of resilience in the face of genocide. As the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi claimed over one million lives, his family fled again, and Dr. Yohana spent his formative years navigating displacement, loss, and uncertainty across borders before arriving in the United States of America.
Dr. Yohana served honorably in the United States Navy, earned a Doctorate in Leadership with Global Perspectives, and rose to become an Executive Director with the Maxwell Leadership Certified Team, one of the world’s foremost leadership development organizations. He serves simultaneously as Clinical Correctional Chaplain at Arizona State Prison Complex Perryville and a Pastor of Christ Embassy Church Arizona.
His keynote Born on the Run takes audiences on a visceral journey from a refugee clinic to the global stage revealing how every storm, every displacement, and every seemingly insurmountable barrier can become the raw material of authentic, transformational leadership.
Using his proprietary RISE Framework Resilience, Identity, Service, Excellence. Dr. Yohana equips leaders with practical, transferable tools to convert personal adversity into organizational authority.
His memoir, Born on the Run, is currently in final manuscript a firsthand account of survival, displacement, and the forging of resilient leadership. He has spoken on stages commemorating genocide, in military installations, boardrooms, correctional facilities, and church altars always with the same message: Your storm is not your ending. It is your origin story.
Dr. Yohana is based in Phoenix, Arizona and available for keynotes, workshops, executive coaching, and panel facilitation nationwide and internationally. Virtual and hybrid delivery available.
Outside of work, you can often find him enjoying a strong cup of coffee, losing himself in a good book, or taking in the beauty of the desert sunsets, simple joys that remind him that every day is a gift worth savoring.

Wow what a life prodding message, it really put a lot of my internal emotions into perspective. "Self limiting beliefs, sabotage, belittling one's efforts" the statement on our fear of sharing and of course the daring to develop oneself. I will listen to it again but it really was something I needed to hear and I will ponder on it for some time. Thank you again. God bless you immensely (Added 2 hand emojis, a prayer of blessings).
