Her career spans the globe as she has practiced both domestically and internationally. A defining moment developed while she was living in the United Kingdom and pursuing her master's degree. That key moment led her to a decision to take her own career in a new direction. Shortly thereafter, she earned her certification in Executive Coaching which set into motion her plan for helping others uncover and discover their own defining moments.

After a storied and extensive career in Talent Acquisition, she formally began her coaching business and her work as an organizational consultant in 2015. She founded Empower365 to fill an essential niche for others who also want to set off on a new journey in life, whether that journey is for career or personal reasons.

She divides her time between her coaching practice and helping organizations with their business needs. She is a hand's on practitioner and her organizational consulting work helps her keep her finger on the pulse of today's professional world. She has extensively recruited, interviewed, and hired thousands of key employees and she uses that essential insight to assist her coaching clients.

Jan graduated with honors from the University of Buckingham, England where she earned a Master's degree in Social and Economic Transformation. She holds certifications in Executive and Professional Coaching and Advanced Social Media.
