Mary Cooney is an award-winning speaker, mentor, trainer, and coach. She holds a Masters in Social Work and is a certified Helix Practitioner through The Helix Training Program, as well as being a Dharma certified Yoga teacher.
With a wide range of experience in the corporate, small business, and holistic health arenas, Mary is passionate about teaching people to master the art of self-care, connection, and communication in order to empower themselves and help their organizations grow. Her audiences have ranged in size from one (as a mentor and coach to many aspiring speakers) to hundreds.

A proud member of Toastmasters International, Mary has achieved Distinguished
Toastmaster status and has twice served as a Presidential Distinguished Area Director. In 2017 she was awarded the District 46's High-Performance Leadership Award.
Mary developed much of her expertise, first in social work as a therapist for The Jewish Board of Family & Children Services, and then in high-level corporate positions where she helped connect people to meaningful careers. She was Director of Recruiting for Citi-Habitats and City Connections and Director of Strategic Staffing at Aimnet Solutions. In these positions, she made professional presentations to large groups and perfected her interviewing, training, and sales skills.
Mary holds a Master of Social Work from Hunter College and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Queens College. She also completed the Helix Training Program's four-year postgraduate program in holistic counseling. As well as the Corporate Coaching Program at Coach University. She is a graduate and past group leader of Pathways to Successful Living and is certified in Myers Briggs and Robert Holden's Success Intelligence. She is a member of the International Coaching Federation & National Speakers Association. Most recently she has completed training in Google's "Search Inside Yourself Institute" and has a certificate from "The Science of Well Being". The Yale course developed by Dr. Laurie Santos.
