I am a writer, empowerment coach, leadership trainer and I use storytelling to raise awareness; provide capacity building; leadership, change management; understanding of cross cultural issues; establish a forum for dialogue; improve the communications and build networking between women; I believe that women must be included in peace building process; build relationships, create a safe space and openness; I help women heal, and overcome racial, cultural and religious differences, and build responsibility for the delivery of their voice. I Provide coaching, mentoring and guidance, and motivate women to become leading edge role models. I deliver inspiring public speeches and move audiences toward success.
Due to my experience I create programs that are part of the mainstream community, which offer the societies, governments, corporations and organizations the ability of having a significant change and a voice in their social order. I help build relationships among people; have dialogues; strengthen knowledge and skills, help women facilitate systemic reforms, and deepen democratic practices. I help women become role models and spark initiative, whenever possible, and offer them a chance to create and get involved in many activities. Promote individual capacity and ownership and ensure understanding of the cultural programs and objectives. Help deliver the objectives in ways that maximize self-reliance, self-confidence, increase self awareness and promote peace building. I build networks, promote human rights and guide women and men to accept their social role and become the catalysts for change.
Presently I am working as a Gender Adviser/ Human Potential Development and Capacity Building Expert, in Kabul, Afghanistan. I provide change management, leadership, and human development potential for male and female civil servants, as I help women and men heal and have hope.
In Afghanistan my achievements and accomplishments foster empowerment of Afghan civil servants;I have coached Ministers, Deputy Ministers and upper government management, I help build bridges of peace between Afghan women and international women; I promote cross cultural issues and integration processes; promote understanding of their rights; help understand the principles of democracy and human rights; develop highest personal and professional potential; I assist in building self confidence and increasing of the self esteem; raising awareness; strengthening communication, management and leadership skills; providing solutions to conflicts and helping them manage change.
In New York I led grassroots organization Albanian American Women’s Organization, funded by Office for Refugee Resettlement to lead and strengthen the vision and the skills of Albanian refugees from Kosovo. I provided youth leadership and developed Youth for Humanity Organization. I also provided expertise in crisis management to the Albanian refugees in Albania during the war in Kosovo. I have led Faith and Feminism Dialogues in building peace among multi faith women and fostering peace and liberty for all. I have also provided leadership to refugees in Albania, as well as support to refugees in the U.S.A.
I have managed national and international journalism research for media outlets worldwide. I have created and supervised journalism online archives and managed data, information, statistics on the worldwide newspaper industry.
I arrived in the U.S.A. in 1980 from Kosovo with 50 words of English and $50 in my pocket and since then I have managed to become a role model to women across the continents. As an international women’s leader and a human rights advocate, I am one of the women leaders who helps women build relationships, have a dialogues, build networking and create opportunities for communication internationally. During our collaboration in Afghanistan, we have implemented successful strategy for Afghan good governance through civil servants. To this date, I continue to provide undivided support to Afghans officials and all people who want to bring about change and make a difference in their future.
I am dedicated to explore the potential of development of the democratic processes in other parts of the world, and I am very open-minded and flexible to change as well as I understand in depth how social, political and educational systems in relation to different cultures.
I am talented, with solid academic knowledge, sharp intelligence, superior understanding and communication skills that are enriching to any political and cultural setting. I am able to include women and communities in peace building process, help them deal with challenges, help them create a safe space and openness, help them heal, and overcome their difficulties and help them make a difference as they become winners.
