She is a former refugee from the Republic of Angola, who was born in Zambia but subsequently raised in Papua New Guinea. She has served as human rights diplomat for the 3rd committee in the United Nations, and has done extensive racial equity, change management, cross cultural training, Human Rights advocacy and work around championing survivors and victims of sexual violence. Her work has helped raise awareness and create tailored curriculum to improve non-profit, Institutions and business spaces. Valeriana holds a Masters Degree in Global Governance and International security from the Florida International University. She speaks English, Umbundu, Tok Pisin and is working on improving her Portugese.
