Lisa inspires and challenges people to reframe their businesses and personal leadership through a purpose-led lens. An award-winning journalist, purpose-led entrepreneur and strategist, Lisa has channelled her three decades of on-the-ground reporting and analysis of contentious public topics into the creation of Navigating Deep Change, a step-by-step methodology for charting a path towards greater stability, wealth and well-being for individuals, for the teams you lead, the communities you serve and the planet we all call home. She has consulted with governments, corporations and non-profits in Canada and the U.S. to help rebuild public trust. Lisa has written for Time Magazine, CBC, CTV, the Globe and Mail, the National Post and the New Brunswick Telegraph-Journal. She is the recipient of a National Newspaper Award, an Atlantic Journalism Award and was named a YWCA Woman of Distinction. Through her consultancy Wicked Ideas, she is a co-founder of the Deep Change Initiative, which is the first-ever research project focused on identifying and analyzing the emerging professional practice and academic research related to deep change and leading through uncertainty. Lisa is a leader in the B Corp movement, for-profit companies that use the power of business to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy. She is a founding member of the B Corp Women CEOs movement, We The Change, and co-lead of its Shifting Capital working group. In May 2020 she created and launched the Deep Change Happy Hour, a lively one-hour Facebook Live show with purpose-led innovators, entrepreneurs, and sleeve-rolling get-stuff-done kind of people about how to build back better post-pandemic.
