Trevor Adey

I had the opportunity to be on the initial team Trevor put together to power up Consilient. In those early days, Trevor's entrepreneurial spirit was truly the driving force that willed the birth of a company. Trevor's vision, and his hunger to make it a reality, meant he recognized opportunity and took decisive action. His innate networking skills and his ability to take advice and act on it, allowed him to get the right people on board to invest in, grow and strengthen the company. His fearless leadership style recognized, developed and empowered a talented team that rounded out and executed his vision. Consilient began as a small, local company with a belief that the combination of innovation, hard work, strong relationships and customer focus would propel it forward to close international deals. Trevor fostered this ruthlessly positive attitude and Consilient went on to partner with Blackberry to service Groupwise, Sun and Oracle email platforms and deal directly with international customers such as the Barrick Gold, the City of New York, Google, NOIA, the US Department of Justice and Alcatel. Always concerned with strategic direction of the industry and never satisfied with the status quo, Trevor continued to drive Consilient through the innovation continuum and on to the development of Consilient Push email and relationships with telecommunication customers such as SingTel in Singapore, AIS in Thailand and Motorola in Brazil. Trevor Adey is a born entrepreneur with a passion for building companies and a gift for the art of the deal. The energy Trevor brings to a venture is invigorating and his ability to bring others to the table to share his vision and execute on the plan is exceptional.

I had the pleasure of working with Trevor for a couple of years when I was the business unit head at Ericsson for consumer and business applications and Trevor was the regional head in the United States with Ericsson for Consumer and Business applications. Trevor's team in the US was successful in leading the global revenue results in this business line for Ericsson with over 100m in sales in 2010. It was a constant struggle for both of us as this area was new for Ericsson and as such together we had to challenge the traditional ways and transform the company to attain success. As a team we won some and we lost some, during that time I was most impressed with Trevor's tenacity in the face of failure and inability to accept legacy culture and how he constantly demanded change. Trevor has a unique ability as a leader to lead from the front to drive a complex change, He delivered on the leadership delegation he was given. I enjoyed working with him and would welcome the opportunity to do it again. I wish him all the very best in his career.

I worked with Trevor in my capacity of PE investor and Director of Consilient. This was a very dynamic time in the mobile messaging and advertising sector. Trevor was a highly effective, hard working leader that never shrank from a challenge. Trevor is a driven, hard working executive who consistently delivered results as an executive for Ericsson. He not only exceeded all his targets in his practice area as an Engagement Practices executive, he also was able to lead Global sales in his area. Trevor developed great internal network relationships across our global teams and was highly regarded as an executive that could exceed targets. Trevor also built from the ground up a North American Partnering organization that resulted in over $100M in sales in less than three years. Trevor and I have worked together at Ericsson over the last four years. Trevor is an accomplished executive in the communications industry with excellent experience and domain knowledge.
