Rohan Sharma
Rohan Sharma is a mental health advocate from the suburbs of Philadelphia. He began public speaking subsequent to serving a twenty-three month jail sentence after pleading guilty to an armed robbery that took place in the Fall of 2011. At the time, Rohan was a medical student at Drexel University. However, due to his mental illness being misdiagnosed, he was given the wrong medication which induced a psychotic episode.
It was during his sentence that Rohan read over 60 books, including many from the self-help genre, which ignited his passion for mental health. He now shares his story as an example of what happens when you don't speak up and get help for your mental health issues, as well as to demonstrate the amazing potential we all have when we utilize the power of positive thinking. Having now been a public speaker for three years, his story of hope and resilience has inspired thousands.
Aside from reading self-help books, Rohan also learned to express himself in jail through poetry and rap. He now has a Youtube Channel under the rap name 'Rx Mundi', which currently has over 600 subscribers and 16,000 channel views. Last, he has documented his story in his memoir titled "A Very Thin Line: My Journey With Bipolar", which was published in November of 2019.
